There are many computer viruses; so you need a anti virus scanner, like Norton AntiVirus; because it also doesent slow down your Internet, too much. So; sometimes you have to sign on again; or might have to reboot the computer, occasionaly.
Some day; the dialup speed could be up to 56 and 115 baud modem rate, but they also might might not made be that fast, since it might slow down and affect the telephone reception.
Internet dial up, is 10 times or more slower that high speed cable Internet; but, dial up cost about 10 times less to use. With high speed cable Internet becoming so popular, some places now offer free Internet use.
The laptop computer has become more popular, than the once most popular desktop computers.
